I meet Terry recently qso dated 09Oct2006 in 17m. SSB, during QSO he said to me that at the end of October he will stay in Torino for more then 2 weeks with the group ( Betty Joplin & Friends ) for Jazz Concert in many City in our area, he is a Musician and playing Piano, at the time of qso he don't know yet some detail of the Tour such wich Hotel they will be, wich Cities they will make a concert etc., so we ended the QSO with the opportunity to meet each other somewhere, infact Thursday Nov 2 he phoned to me from Torino, Genio Hotel, but I was not at home, he said would phone again the day after, later i got the message, Friday morning I phoned to Giacomo IZ1DSJ, and Gianni IZ1GTI asking if they wish to partecipate to the meeting withTerry, I got an enthusiastic YES so little later i phoned to Terry at the Hotel, talking with him I asked if was free for the afternoon, he said Friday was a day off, perfect just for the meeting, I proposed to him my planned program, he said Yes and telling me that will come with us Larry ( the Drummer ) OK i said no problem, he's welcome, closed the phone i call back Giacomo and Gianni confirming the meeting, at three o'clock in the afternoon I was at the Genio Hotel in Torino, Terry and Larry was there waiting me, handshake then come back to my home in San Maurizio, showing my set up station and antennas, talking for a while and having a cup of coffee, I turn on my FT 1000 MP on 17m. SSB beaming toward North America signals was coming strong, at the operating position Terry KG8CI made some qso's, Alan K8CW, Angelo W8ERN and Bob KC9DX, little later reached my home first Giacomo IZ1DSJ later Gianni IZ1GTI and his wife Giusy IW1CXG, so we reached a restaurant near my Qth having a supper talking about varius arguments, at 11 o' clock leaving the restaurant, Terry invite us at one of the last planned Concerts in our area, many thanks Terry, many thanks Larry for enjoyable day spent with you, you are a very kindly and friendly persons, see you at the Concert, and of course i hope to meet you again on the air from your Country, I wish to thank you very much, for the music CD's gift you gave us, regards also to the other components of the Jazz Band, from me, Giacomo, Gianni and Giusy, 73' ciao.
